The UK Government has introduced the India Young Professionals Scheme Visa, which allows thousands of young Indian citizens to live and work in the UK. This visa is available to Indians aged 18 to 30, allowing them to stay in the UK for up to 24 months. During this period, they can either seek employment or pursue educational programs.
Those who enter the UK under this scheme can extend their stay beyond the two years if they secure a job offer and obtain a Work Visa. For 2024, the scheme has allocated 3,000 places.
The first ballot for 2024 opened and closed on February 22nd, while the second ballot for the remaining places occurred on July 16th and concluded on the same day.
The India Young Professional Scheme Visa provides a streamlined immigration process for eligible candidates from India, offering a simpler pathway compared to other UK Visa programs.
You must first be selected in the IYPS Visa ballot to apply for this visa. To enter the ballot, you need to demonstrate your eligibility for the IYPS UK Visa.
If you have dependents under 18 who live with you or rely on you financially, you will need to include them in your considerations.
To enter the IYPS Visa ballot, you must apply online through the UK Government’s website. Entry to the ballot is free of charge. However, you should only apply if you are serious about pursuing the visa if selected. Additionally, you must meet all the educational, financial, and other eligibility criteria.
